Passed the mill operators hands on test with excellence. He had no problem with selecting the correct stock for the part. He explained the different features of the machine including the function of the different keys on the pendent.
When loading the stock he made sure that the vise surfaces were clean, loaded the part correctly against the stop and tighten the vise correctly.
When unloading the part he pulled up on the handle instead of pushing down to open the vise. This was the only part of the hands on test that I did not like Bilel’s technic. I explained that using that technic he could hurt his back.
Bilel checked the tools in the carrousel to make sure that the tools matched the tools in the program.
He ran the program in graphic mode first before running the part.
He was comfortable with the Haas control and used both hands to cycle start and feed hold in single blocking checking the distance to go on the first tool.
He selected the appropriate measuring tools to check the part dimensions and thread.
He did a great job and I am glad to certify Bilel to operate Haas milling machines.
