Jarett,
Ended up taking the hands on final twice. The first attempt he struggled with finding the distance to go screen and other buttons on the control like single block and the tool release buttons. He also did not blow the vise jaws to make sure that the surface was clean before loading the new piece of stock.
The rest of the final he did great, he knew all of the machine components and that he should never get into the control cabinet. He was able to select the correct stock from using the print.
The second time that Jarett took the hands on final I could tell that he had been practicing using the control. He knew where all the buttons were that I had asked him before. He also knew the functions of other buttons like the block delete. He remembered to blow the vise jaws to make sure that the there was no chips before loading the new piece of stock.
